About ISOCheck
I am not a construction industry veteran.
I am an IT engineer who spent time upskilling in information management and ISO 19650 — the naming standard increasingly mandated on large construction projects worldwide.
While studying the standard I kept running into the same problem. Validating filenames against ISO 19650 rules is genuinely difficult at scale. Dozens of fields. Strict formatting rules. Hundreds of files per submission. I went looking for a simple tool to help and found nothing — except validation features buried inside premium platforms costing hundreds or thousands per month.
That felt wrong to me.
The standard is mandatory. The tools to comply with it should not require an enterprise budget. Subcontractors, smaller consultancies, and BIM teams working for international clients need to meet the same requirements as large firms — but without access to the same expensive platforms.
As an IT engineer the problem was also technically interesting. The validation logic is precise and rule-based. Exactly the kind of problem that can be solved cleanly with the right tool.
So I built ISOCheck. A standalone bulk filename validator. Free to start. No platform required. No plugin to install. Just paste your filenames and know instantly what passes and what fails — before you upload, before you get rejected, before you waste anyone's time.
